I am a Senior Project Scientist at the Environmental Markets Lab (emLab) at the University of California, Santa Barbara. My research examines how policy and incentive structures shape environmental, economic, and social outcomes across natural resource management and climate resilience.
I use bioeconomic modeling, spatial data analysis, and data synthesis to develop data-driven insights that identify environmental and social challenges and practical solutions with the potential to improve livelihoods. I am dedicated to transparent and reproducible science, and I am particularly interested in the intersection of ethics and data science.
In addition to my work at emLab, I am an active consultant, and have worked on projects related to fisheries management, ecosystem services valuation, and natural resource economics. I hold a Master of Environmental Science and Management from the Bren School at UC Santa Barbara, where I specialized in the economics and politics of the environment, and a B.A. in Philosophy and Environmental Studies from Santa Clara University.
